The API model 34010 has a 2 1/2" shaft, measured from the face of the unit to the tip of the knurled knob. The shaft is 5/8" diameter.
The MRV series does not come with a 2" shaft AFAIK, but 2" may be all you need.I didn't want to take a chance in getting one too short, & the 2 1/2" looks just fine IMO.
