If you mount the unit with the motor vertical, no mods to the defroster duct is needed, but the motor hangs into the glovebox area.The stainless steel bracket at the far end of the motor will get a #10 x 1/2" sheetmetal screw to secure it to the firewall. This will prevent any rotation of the unit in relation to it's mounting surface.
