Here's a view of the motor mounted under the dash, after enlarging the original shaft hole to 5/8".The red circle is over the plastic defroster duct. For the dash to fit properly, I plan on heating up the duct where it contacts the last 1" of the motor & bending it away.
This shouldn't be a big deal, as the duct seems to be made of thin "coke bottle" type plastic. An alternative would be to cut a section of the duct, and re-glue.
